Steps
- Go to the Templates folder inside the Yearbook2016 folder. Find the Indesign template file named, blank8.
- Then, File>Save as ... call it "djones_table of contents". (djones is my example -- use your own first initial, last name.)
- The TOC is only one page, so create your design on page 2 (left side).
- You will not need to include the folio -- it's already there on the actual page.
- Supertext -- Table of Contents
- Background -- Use one of the Halftones or Starbursts that already exist.
- A Panel for a Photo that represents each Section title. (Use photos that are already located within other pages -- choose the best ones!)
- Comic Book Style with Panel and the usual 1-pica spacing and 10pt. stroke.
Name all Yearbook Sections -- (example: Opening, Students, Academics, Sports, Clubs, etc.) (shared with you in Google Drive) as a guide.
Required Content:
- Page title (Supertext)
- Section titles (you may be specific or general) -- for instance, you may Use "Sports" as a general section title only, or have subsection titles such as, Cross Country, Football, Basketball, etc...
- Page Ranges: for example, Sports could show a range like pp. 34-44, or Cross Country 34-35, Football pp. 36-37, etc... Personally, I would go for the more general section titles. (It's possible to only show 6 sections for our entire book. Don't forget Parent Ads at the end.
- Panels/photos
- Your unique design that has a comic book feel.
